- Marusai-Ar is the magic known only to sydhi and the Ancients, known to some as the Words of Changing.
- Runic Magic is the study of symbols, runes, and the power they hold within by the runelords.
- Shadow Magic is used by fanes to manipulate the stuff of shadows.
- Totem Magic is the magic of animism, used by shamans to call nature and wildlife to beck.

A few races and cultures across Alsa Eru have embraced the renaissance of modern technology and science that started with the sirish. The Khandians and trakloks are the most notable pursuers of the Art of Science other than the sirish, but the United Kingdoms and Marudon have also taken advantage of several creations.
- Black Thunder is a deadly black powder used for causing explosions.
- Clockworks are found throughout many communities across Khandia, the United Kingdoms, and several myari and traklok cities.
- Flashrails are powerful vehicles that travel along tracks between some cities in Khandia and the United Kingdoms.
- Steam Power is used to power some ships - the trakloks of Duarmenstor are making much use of this, as well as the Khandians and the Marudons.

Arcanotech is the name given to a new science that puts together the study of magic and technology, so that technological devices harness magic, or so that magical spells feature technology.

Encompassing Magic

There are many places in Memory Fading where magic has been harnessed by the very land and geography in a way that is independent of magic-users' manipulations.
- Bloodstones, or siorones, are gems, harnessed deep within the earth, that have been found to be able to affect magical spells.
- Fadings are magical aberrations of the landscapes where the Shadow Realm has leaked onto Ord.
- Spirit Nexuses take many different forms, and are found all throughout nature. They harness, affect, enhance, or deaden magic in many different ways, and are sought after by many pursuers of magical study.

- Charms are a special type of magical item that can be worn by anyone to enhance the natural abilities of the wearer.
- Covenant Items are special weapons that create some sort of bond with their wielder.
