History indicates these beings are masters of magic. You might want to mention that (and elaborate on it) here. And that they are fey, perhaps (are there are other fey races? If so, how do the sydhi feel about them?).

Are we supposed to interpret these as strange-looking elves, or something else entirely?

I like that you give a saying from their perspective, and then explain them from human perspective. Elaborating on these differing views (and maybe even adding how others, especially the sul, feel about them) might be worthwhile. --Phoenix 15:09, 27 April 2008 (EDT)
