Avatar Issues

I'm new here and I am trying to upload an avatar image. I have tried to upload an image and to link one from photobucket, but it still doesn't show up on my profile page. Now I did look through "The Cogs" section and found a thread that talked about this issue, but the links in that thread are broken. So it wasn't much help. Did I miss a main thread that talked about this? Any help on this would be much appreciated.

Are you certain that it's the right size and file type?  As an experiment, maybe try uploading a different avatar and seeing if that works?

I'm no expert on these matters, however - you may want to ask Nomadic.

EDIT: We just switched over the site to a new one, so old links are broken.  Which reminds me, I need to fix some of my links...

I assume you clicked the Change Profile button at the bottom of the page yes? I just tried it and it worked fine (hence your turtle avatar). Give it another try and let me know if it's still causing you trouble.

Edit: Yea I just created a new account and was able to successfully choose a photobucket photo as an avatar. Are you sure you have the proper photobucket link? Give me the URL and I'll see about figuring it out for you

Now is there a Post-it or set-up tread that I did not see that has the settings for the Images? Now I didn't see any specs when I tried to add the image, if i missed either please let me know. With that being said what are the requirements for an avatar image?

Hmm seems it was because the image was too large (file size). I need to see about adding a warning notification for that though I don't know why it doesn't already have one.
