Poll

Are you telling a story or playing a game? [Redux]

I’m/we’re telling a story, and run the game to that end.

I’m/we’re playing a game, and any story comes of that process.

I'm/we're doing something else.

Damn it. I lost.

 Rorschach Fritos
Added to The Game!

 Luminous Crayon
Yeah, but it's too late; I'm already picturing Steerpike as a tree, typing away on the internet with his leafy branches.

 Nomadic
willowy (Adj): Tall, slim, and lithe

 FREAKINAWESOMEHORSE
Possibly has something to do with whoever "Wispy" is on IRC when they game.

 Luminous Crayon
Reason I ask is because I am imagining trees now.

 Luminous Crayon
Willowy?

Is that figurative or what?

 Nomadic
Gormenghast... I see steerpike has you in his willowy grasp.

 Conundrum Crow
Bought new books yesterday (had a gift certificate). Bought Gormenghast, Nights of Villjamur, the first book in the Long Price and Retribution Falls

 Elemental_Elf
A Spambot once told me Turtle Soup was delicious. I slew him, reanimated him, then sent him to the Plane of Turtle Samurai.

 Nomadic
Die Spambot is an exceptional example of the art of turtle theater and you are lesser for thinking ill of it.

 your guts are DELICIOUS
Oh and Luminous I've started a writeup of our Jade Stage adventure.

Fiiiiinally.

 your guts are DELICIOUS
Still panned by critics though.

It's just no good.

 Luminous Crayon
Die Spambot, one of Wagner's lesser-known operas, was panned by contemporary critics but is now widely regarded as ahead of its time.

 GambleWolf
You know the kind of category 4 hurricane with swirling winds upwards of 145mph...

....my name is Earl.

 Vreeg's Barolo
die, Spambot!!!!!

 Luminous Crayon
Hey, Vreeg: URL

More to come on the liriss. This part's like religion, only more secular, empirical, Orwellian.

As always, I'd love to have you guys' first impressions on this.

 Vreeg's Barolo
Posted the SIG session 46 transcript. I find it an interesting setting log when read straight.

 Nomadic
Dracula can rest easy knowing that he no longer has serious competition...

 Steerpike
RIP Gorethirst

 Nomadic
anything I can do to help?

 Steerpike
sorry I'm late guys, MIRC troubles...

 Vreeg's Barolo
LC, I cannot wait to see!

 Luminous Crayon
On the Jade Stage Wiki docket: all things liriss/Formerian/draconic

 Luminous Crayon
re: "hurrah for new material posted", I am working some things up on the wiki, and should have some pretty good stuff to show soon (although it's a tough week with work and such)

What Is the CBG?

The Campaign Builders' Guild is your one-stop source for information and communities centered around building and creating homebrew campaign settings, adventures, and worlds for role playing games. World building and campaign building is a craft and an art, to use the words of Raelifin, and goes far beyond just simply creating locales, NPCs, and adventure locations. These things must connect to each other in some sort of fundamental way. At the Campaign Builders' Guild, we will help you achieve a mastery of this art, either through reviewing your campaign setting, critiquing your adventure, or simply basking in the wonder of your campaign world. Go to the forums and ask for help for that new kingdom you're building, and ask for advice on the new magic system you're creating. And while you're here, please ponder others' works of art. Write your own reviews on someone else's setting, and play an adventure RPG in a new campaign world. You can't go wrong.
